From 29 to 31 January 2021, the 18th Meeting of the EAU Section of Oncological Urology (ESOU21 Virtual) will provide you with the most relevant onco-urology updates and contemporary insights on genitourinary cancers, making the meeting an essential European reference. Additionally, ESOU21 Virtual will address the impact of COVID-19 on the management of onco-urology patients.

On day one, expect clinical case discussions on prostate cancer (PCa) focusing on diagnosis and staging, and renal cancer. Get key points on partial nephrectomy, conservative management of upper urinary tract urothelial carcinoma (UTUC) and bladder cancer (BCa) e.g. biomarkers in diagnosis and follow-up. Learn more on how to maximise the Quality of Life of patients suffering from penile and testis cancers. You are encouraged to join deliberations on improving risk stratification in men with intermediate PCa to optimise treatment. ESOU21 Virtual will cover these topics and more.

Day two will comprise of more PCa discussions such as which is best for high-risk PCa after radical prostatectomy, adjuvant or salvage radiation therapy? Evaluate the pros and cons of open or robotic nephroureterectomy for high-risk UTUC. Receive expert insights on robotic surgery at its best, as well as, when to opt for genetic testing for PCa and how. These are a few of the must-attend activities on ESOU21 Virtual’s day two. The STEPS (Session To Evaluate ProgresS) programme, which is a closed session, will also take place on this day.

On the meeting’s final day, you can examine techniques during the video sessions on glansectomy, partial orchiectomy, robotic retroperitoneal lymph node dissection (RPLND) and more. Enrich your knowledge on the histological classification and immunophenotyping of renal tumours. Will you agree or disagree that in a first-line setting, every metastatic patent needs immunotherapy? We will see in the deliberations. Also partake in informative lectures such as that of the Society of Urologic Oncology (SUO) in using biomarkers to guide targeted treatment in advanced PCa.

To conclude the ESOU21 Virtual meeting, the EAU Sections of Oncological Urology (ESOU), of Urological Research (ESUR) and of Uropathology (ESUP), together with the scientific journal European Urology Oncology, will present the must-read papers in onco-urology of 2020.
