(UroToday.com) The first Renal Cancer session at this year’s European Association of Urology (EAU) Section of Oncological Urology (ESOU) virtual annual meeting focused on localized disease and was divided into two primary sections, the first focusing on key points in partial nephrectomy while the second examined approaches to larger renal masses. The second mini-session examining the approach to larger renal masses (>7cm) featured a case presentation from Dr. Carmen Mir Maresma following by surgical considerations for radical nephrectomy from Dr. Marc-Oliver Grimm and for nephron-sparing surgery from Dr. Andrea Minervini.
