Robot-assisted radical cystectomy (RARC) with intracorporeal or extracorporeal urinary diversion has become the preferred approach for radical cystectomy at many institutions. The use of RARC has been justified through improved perioperative outcomes such as blood loss, length of stay, and major complications.
The development of somatic-type malignancies (SMs) in testicular germ cell tumors (GCTs) is a rare but well-recognized phenomenon. We studied the pathologic features of 63 GCTs with SMs in the testis (n=22) or metastases (n=41) and correlated these features with clinical outcomes.
Quality assurance (QA) of treatment plans in clinical trials improves protocol compliance and patient outcomes. Retrospective use of knowledge-based-planning (KBP) in clinical trials has demonstrated improved treatment plan quality and consistency.
