The impact of the social construct of race on outcomes among bacille Calmette-Guérin-treated patients with high-risk non-muscle-invasive bladder cancer in an equal-access setting.

The objective of this study was to describe bladder cancer outcomes as a function of race among patients with high-risk non-muscle-invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC) in an equal-access setting. A total of 412 patients with high-risk NMIBC who received bacille Calmette-Guérin (BCG) from January 1, 2010, to December 31, 2015, were assessed.

Tumour growth rates of prostate cancer during active surveillance: is there a difference between MRI-visible low and intermediate-risk disease?

The aim of this study was to evaluate the changes in lesion volume on serial multiparametric magnetic resonance (mpMRI) during active surveillance for prostate cancer. A total of 160 patients with a targeted biopsy-confirmed visible lesion on mpMRI, stratified by low- and intermediate-risk disease (Gleason Grade Group 1 vs Gleason Grade Group 2), were analysed.

EAU 2021: PET/CT Allows for a Reliable Assessment of the Real Nodal Burden in Clinically Node-Positive Prostate Cancer Patients Candidate for Radical Prostatectomy: Results from a Multi-Institutional Series

(UroToday.com) It is now well established that PSMA PET/CT is more sensitive than conventional imaging. As such, PET/CT scan might lead to the identification of nodal metastases (e.g., cN1) in prostate cancer (PCa) patients considered for radical prostatectomy (RP). However, there is no data addressing the performance characteristics and prognostic value of a positive PET/CT in […]
