Renal oncocytoma (RO) accounts for 5% of renal cancers and generally behaves as a benign tumor with favorable long-term prognosis. It is difficult to confidently distinguish between benign RO and other renal malignancies, particularly chromophobe renal cell carcinoma (chRCC).
