Metastatic prostate cancer is associated with considerable morbidity and mortality. Standard treatment for non-metastatic prostate cancer, to prevent metastatic progression, is androgen deprivation therapy (ADT); however, many patients will eventually develop castration-resistant prostate cancer (CRPC), which can prove challenging to treat.
