While telehealth is not new, the COVID-19 public health emergency declaration in the United States resulted in changes to regulations and reimbursement, resulting in a massive expansion of telehealth use.1 In the last year, urologists and male infertility specialists had to quickly adapt and incorporate telehealth as an option for patients to undergo new evaluations or follow-up care. Our paper highlights the Michigan Medicine Urology pre-COVID telehealth experience for patients with an existing relationship with an infertility specialist, including a physical exam in the clinic.
