While there are expected benefits to this approach, there is no randomized data demonstrating benefit. In a podium presentation at the American Urologic Association (AUA) 2020 Virtual Annual Meeting, Alessandro Larcher, MD, and colleagues presented a large, multi-institutional analysis of clinical outcomes after robot-assisted (RAPN) or open partial nephrectomy (OPN).
