(UroToday.com) As part of a round table discussion on the impact of the COVID-19 epidemic on the management of GU cancers, Dr. Saskia Biskup discussed the impact of the coronavirus on the immune status of oncology patients. Dr. Biskup notes that precision medicine in cancer patients revolves around therapy adjustment, interdisciplinary tumor boards, and precision diagnostics. According to Dr. Biskup, with regards to COVID and cancer, there is no valid data available and thus no recommendations about precision medicine are possible and therefore we need to collect data.
